Communication Through Creativity

The ability to communicate in all settings with clarity and confidence is critical for success. The craft of communication is learning not just to talk, but to watch and listen – moving beyond the words to the language we speak with our eyes, our body and our tone.

This workshop provides participants with the tools to reconnect with your innate creativity. It will guide you to discover the creative possibilities that are already within you. Once you rediscover them, you will be able to utilize them in a variety of ways and ensure your communication connects as intended. By acquiring new perspectives, you will also unlock your personal leadership potential by mastering key moments of engagement, drawing on your own creative skills to strengthen communication, smooth the process of change, and inspire trust in yourself and others.

OUTLINE

  • Identify a clear purpose for communication 
  • Become aware of how communication channels and cultural lenses influence perception
  • Creatively explore the role of communication in leadership through guided exercises,
    improvisational role play and intergroup dialogue
  • Understand other factors in perception including your own assumptions and miscommunications 
  • Learn the positive and negative role of emotions in interpersonal and group engagement
  • Receive feedback based on your needs and desired development path

  • Understand the fundamentals of communication and the relationship between channel, content and purpose 
  • Learn to evaluate dialogue constructively by assessing the 3Vs (vocal, verbal and non-verbal)
  • Identify your undiscovered strengths, developing greater self-trust by unlocking your creativity

    own unique talents and interpersonal needs
